Rosie is technically an outsider. She´s got brains, but she can´t read. She tries it, she wants it, but she can´t do it. She fakes stupidity so she can hang out with the stupid kids who make fun of subject stuff in school, because Rosie is too afraid to admit her problem.

And this is a very common problem in our global society, a problem we all need to be aware of.

Young people should be encouraged to read books of this calibre, interesting, educational, no unnecessary bad language, sex or gore; and still an excellent read.

Herself on board her uncle’s slave ship. But when many of the crew go blind she is forced to bring some of the slaves above deck to help her run the ship. At the end she pleads for the lives of the 5 slaves who helped her.
