The main audiobooks in the anthology are available in both MP3 and M4B formats; i.e. The Hobbit, The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, The Return of The King, The Silmarillion, and The Children of Hurin.

Note 2: from kingabomination – “The Book of Lost Tales Part one and Part Two are both ripped from audio cosset tapes. this is why the file size is so big and quality so low. they do not exist in any other format to my knowledge.” These parts were narrated by Patrick Horgan under Library of Congress recording. I’ve done my best to Chaptarise them but unfortunately couldn’t find any other quality.

Note 3: Concerning Author John Ronald Reuel Tolkien was an English writer, poet, philologist, and academic, best known as the author of the high fantasy works The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. After Tolkien’s death, his son Christopher published a series of works based on his father’s extensive notes and unpublished manuscripts, including The Silmarillion. These, together with The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, form a connected body of tales, poems, fictional histories, invented languages, and literary essays about a fantasy world called Arda and, within it, Middle-earth. Between 1951 and 1955, Tolkien applied the term legendarium to the larger part of these writings.
