This is a fantasy audio drama from back in 2005 that happens to feature David Tennant, known better as playing the Tenth Doctor (my second favorite after Paul McGann!) and the psychopathic mind controller Kilgrave on Jessica Jones. He’s one of my favorite actors, and it is with pleasure I share this recently released for download for the first time audio drama from Big Finish.

This is a fantasy about the adventurer Luther lives in an alternative reality England where the monarchy was not restored after the civil war and has been ruled by the Puritans for hundreds of years. England is in a bad state. And, Luther has to fight to save it from a vicious decedent of Oliver Cromwell.

I mostly enjoyed this for being able to hear an actor I really like before he was world famous and much younger. Anybody who likes David Tennant will enjoy this. He is obviously a natural voice actor, and I loved the Tenth Doctor adventures. Here is hoping that he will do several more series with Big Finish.

I love David Tennant because he is so good to his fans and accepts that he will always be the Doctor, but is secure enough to play something so different like in Jessica Jones. A great actor and Scotsman, I predict he will be knighted in 20 years or so. He seems so down to earth also, like you could have tea with him and not be intimidated!
